On Monday, December 11, 2006 at 8:14 am, Stacy Wilson boarded a bus in Kingstown, Saint Vincent with the intention of heading to work.

She didn’t know that the man sitting at the front of the bus was Shorn Samuel. Samuel had been up all night due to his intoxication from alcohol and was on his way out of town.

He got up from his seat when he saw Wilson board the bus and approach her.

Stacy Wilson was brutally stabbed by Shorn Samuel, who then beheaded her with a machete before leaving the scene of the crime.

The events of this event were recorded on video by onlookers.

What happened to Samuel afterward?

Samuel was detained by those who had witnessed the crime and police officers found him standing over Wilson’s body with a bloodied machete in his hand.

He was taken into custody and told authorities that he committed the murder because he wanted to be sent back to prison, where he could get three meals a day and sleep in a bed.

The horrific incident was captured on the CCTV at the bus terminal parking lot, where Samuel murdered Wilson.

He can be seen on video beating her with the machete until she fell to the ground, then cutting off her hand before decapitating her.

An investigation into the murder was launched, but Shorn Samuel committed suicide by hanging himself in his jail cell on February 4.

Shorn Samuel’s mother went on TV and stated her belief that he did not commit this horrific crime because he did not have any history of violence. Instead, she suggested it may have been due to mental illness.
